Eligibility

1.    Eligibility:

· Applicants must be a graduating female senior from Yolo or Solano County.

· Applicants must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher.

·  Applicants must be actively involved in some form of performing arts either within their school or the community.

2.    Field of Study:

· Applicants must be pursuing a degree in the field of performing arts at a four-year college or university.

3.    Continuation of Performing Arts:

· Applicants must commit to continuing their involvement in performing arts throughout their college career.

       · This can include participation in theater productions, dance performances, musical ensembles, or any other form of performing arts.

4.    Scholarship Duration and Requirements:

· The scholarship will be paid out over four years.

· In order to continue receiving funding, the recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

· The recipient must provide proof of their continued involvement in performing arts each year. This could be in the form of letters of recommendation, performance schedules, or other documentation as required by the scholarship committee.

·Applicants must provide a written or spoken essay expressing their passion for performing arts and detailing their future goals in the field.

·Transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a video showcasing the applicant's performance abilities must also be submitted.

5.    Financial Need Consideration:

· Applicants may choose to provide redacted financial documents if they wish for the scholarship board to consider financial need as part of the selection process. This is optional and not required for eligibility.

6.    Application Process:

· Applicants must submit a completed application form along with the required documentation mentioned above.

· The application deadline will be specified by the scholarship committee.

7.    Selection Criteria:

· Selection will be based on academic achievement, involvement in performing arts, essay content, performance video, letters of recommendation, and any other criteria deemed relevant by the scholarship committee.

· Finalists may be required to participate in an interview process.

8.    Award Amount:

· The amount of the scholarship award will be determined by the scholarship committee.

· Funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient's college or university to be applied toward tuition, fees, and other educational expenses.

9.    Notification:

· Recipients will be notified of their selection for the scholarship following the conclusion of the selection process.

10.    Compliance:

· Recipients must comply with any additional requirements or conditions set forth by the scholarship committee.

11.       Renewal:

The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, contingent upon the recipient's continued fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and maintenance of satisfactory academic progress.

Note: Although these are the requirements set forth by the board of directors, the selection committee will have the discretion to approve an applicant even if she does not meet any of the listed requirements. APPLY!
